For the image layout project we were asked to create an A3 layout with pictures of ourselves with a 'facebook status' as a tagline for the image, corresponding image with text. The text in the images is more than just the one liner, or single phrase that was expected of us. Instead I chose to provide a quote which shows a means to escape from reality, while keeping with your mind next to mysterious pictures obscuring my face. This is contrasted against my facebook status like saying about getting drunk, it shows another way of escaping reality, but the cheap and easy way out, with no strain or learning anything about yourself.
The two layouts I made are extremely similar except the first has its text in black and white and the second is in colour. I did the first one with black on white text to link with the black and white darkroom photography so everything seems to be part of the same, and is very structured and organised.
The second one has its text in three different colours, Red, Green and Blue. I did it this way to show that life isn't just black and white, its complicated and things become misplaced and can suddenly change from one thing into the other with no reasoning whatsoever.
